SINGLE VIEYARD WINE
Jean Leon departed from the French port of Le Havre as a stowaway on a ship bound for the USA. A sailor soon discovered him. In a unexpected act of generosity, he decided to conceal the young man’s presence. Vinya Le Havre is a tribute to the silent complicity of a stranger who changed Jean Leon’s lfe forever.
A blend of the Bordeaux varieties par excellence, with an elegant nose, toasted notes and hints of spices imparted by oak aging. Potent upon entry, it unfolds across the palate to display great length, good tannins, lush body and a long, lingering finish.
APPEARANCE
Dark cherry red with medium to deep color intensity.
NOSE
Distinctive notes of bell pepper, ripe red fruit, and oak-imparted notes of toast and spices.
PALATE
Lively on entry, medium to full-bodied with concentrated tannins conferring a dense, fleshy texture. Bright tannins give the wine freshness and linearity.

85% Cabernet Sauvignon; 15% Cabernet Franc
Aging
Aged for 12 months minimum in 225- liter barrels of French and American oak. The wine is then bottle and aged for at least another 2 years.

Vinification
Fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats for 23 days. Upon completion of fermentation and skin contact (16 days), the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and barrel aging.

Goes very well with wild game recipes such as venison or wild boar. Serving temperature: 16oC to 18oC.
