PV-20 is a 100% Petit Verdot varietal that reveals the potential of this little-known, heat-resistant variety which does very well in warmer climates. Made from organic grapes grown on the Jean Leon estate, PV-20 is an exclusive wine of remarkable personality, available as a limited production of only 2,523 bottles.

 

Very voluptuous and fresh on palate entry, gradually giving way to concentrated ripe tannins that make for an exceptionally full wine with a long finish.

APPEARANCE

Intense dark cherry red colour with violet highlights.

NOSE

Pronounced aromas of ripe black fruit (blueberry, cherry) intermingled with toasty and spicy notes where black pepper, complemented by hints of woodland undergrowth, comes to the fore.

PALATE

Very voluptuous and fresh on entry, gradually giving way to concentrated ripe tannins that make for an exceptionally full wine with a long finish.

Vinification
20 days of alcoholic fermentation in conical bottom concrete tanks, 6 days of maceration, followed by more than 6 month of ageing in 2000-litre French foudres.
