It seems like only yesterday that we began dreaming up the Starlit Night at Jean Leon, but this year we celebrated our sixth edition! Clearly the current circumstances made it impossible to hold the event the way we normally do, but with all safety measures required by health protocols in place, we managed to experience an event that has become an absolute summer classic.
As you know, our winery hosts this extraordinary night dedicated to stars, wine, gastronomy, and music to coincide with the noche de las lágrimas de San Lorenzo (the night of San Lorenzo’s tears), which this year fell on Friday, August 14th, and Saturday, August 15th. Who could say no to that?
Guests enjoyed the beautiful setting of the Jean Leon Winery and the traditional night of shooting stars, referred to as the magical night of San Lorenzo’s Tears. It is an experience that speaks to all five senses.
The evening began with a welcome cocktail as guests arrived and settled in. Then astronomer Joan A. Català gave a master class that provided everyone with the basics needed to enjoy the night to the max. After this bit of theory, it was time to put our newfound knowledge into practice. Guests took to the potent telescope to get a clear and up-close look at the craters of the moon and Saturn’s rings, as well as several constellations.
After this stellar encounter, guests enjoyed a cocktail dinner paired with our most iconic winesaccompanied by music courtesy of DJ Delapierre.
Every year, our Starlit Night is a big draw, making it one of the highlights of Jean Leon’s summer events.
The stars are always gazing down at us. Have you ever stopped to gaze at them? It’s mesmerizing!
