For the 5th year in a row, we had a magical night of shooting stars at Jean Leon. Coinciding with the noche de las lágrimas de San Lorenzo (the night of San Lorenzo’s tears) on Friday, August 9th, and Saturday, August 10th, our winery once again hosted an extraordinary night where everything revolved around stars, wine, food, and music. Who could say no to that?
Guests enjoyed the beautiful setting of the Jean Leon Winery and the traditional meteor shower known as the “magical night of San Lorenzo’s tears”. The evening, paired with fine wines, has become a classic on the winery’s event calendar. It is an experience that speaks to all the senses.
The evening began with a welcome drink featuring the Jean Leon 3055 wine range. Then astronomer Joan A. Català gave a master class where guests picked up all the basics to make the most of the night. After this bit of theory, it was time to put our newfound knowledge into practice. Guests took to the potent telescope to get a clear and up-close look at the craters of the moon and Saturn’s rings, as well as several constellations.
Following this stellar encounter, guests enjoyed a cocktail dinner paired with Jean Leon Vinya Le Havre Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2013 and Jean Leon Vinya Gigi Chardonnay 2016, a treat for all the wine lovers present. Live music rounded out the night.
Every year, our Starlit Night is a big draw, making it one of the highlights of Jean Leon’s summer events.
The stars are always gazing down at us. Do you ever stop to gaze at them?
