Holiday weekend, wine, and music

It’s Thursday, but not just any Thursday. It’s December 5th, and that means that tomorrow, the 6th, is a holiday. Let’s be honest, it would be better if the 8th didn’t fall on a Sunday, but you can’t have everything. We’re just happy to have a long weekend. Some of you are probably already off of work and for others Thursday is dragging on, but fortunately, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

And to help speed things along, whether or not you’re taking the day off, we’ve got a little surprise for you. To make things easy for you, we’ve put together a Spotify list for your listening pleasure over this holiday weekend. In the car, on the train, on a plane… or at work. There’s no one right time or place. We just hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. There’s a bit of everything and something for everyone.

When we launched this blog, we brought you songs from Bon Iver, Jose González, Luthea Salom, Kings of Convenience… Different artists but with a similar style of music. Back then, we wanted you to use the playlist as an accompaniment to enjoying some nice wine. The playlist we’re suggesting today goes a little further – it’s more multipurpose. It’s good for the car if you’re going skiing, for making dinner with friends, for having a glass of Jean Leon 3055 at home tonight to celebrate the fact that tomorrow is a holiday, or for spending a relaxing morning at home. We’ll leave how and when you use it totally up to you.

Macy Gray, Milky Chance, Ferran Palau, Jose Gonzalez, Manel, and Carlos Sadness are some of the names that make up the list. Domestic, international, soloists, singer-songwriters, and from all kinds of genres. But this list isn’t the finished product. We’re open to suggestions and your contributions to complete it and make it better. So, you can now hit play and if you don’t find what you thought you’d find, just add it. Enjoy the holiday weekend with music. We already know you’ll be enjoying it with wine. Play
